Since 2019, IDM has been committed to publishing a digital annual report, and this year is no exception. This leading waste management organization meets all standards with its online annual report.
The communication team at IDM, led by the enthusiastic staff members Annick and Helen, has been working with the Paddle CMS Platform for years. Each year, there is a need for an annual report, where the structure and foundation remain consistent, but the content and design are renewed.
Last-minute adjustments to key figures or tables are always possible.

About IDM
IDM, or Intermunicipal Durme-Moervaart, is a local organization specializing in waste management and environmental stewardship. Focused on sustainability and innovation, IDM ensures waste is collected, processed, and recycled efficiently and environmentally-friendly in six municipalities in the Waasland region.
IDM's Requirement
The goal was to provide a clear, accessible overview of the annual figures without the report appearing identical to the previous year's. Each year retains what works well but introduces small innovations and design adjustments to keep the annual report fresh and new.
The website needed to be attractive and well-organized, avoiding plain text. Figures should stand out using visually appealing infographics and clear key statistics.
IDM's stakeholders expect the figures to be presented transparently.
Our Solution
First, we organized an input meeting to gather the necessary content. During this meeting, we discussed the exact content of the annual report. The project manager, Naomi, facilitated the discussion effectively.
Next, we created two design proposals for Helen and Annick to choose from.
Then, we configured the CMS and meticulously entered the content. Once complete, Helen and Annick fine-tuned and made the necessary adjustments.
The CMS is very user-friendly. We didn’t need any support to add or modify content. It works so smoothly. Moreover, we find the upgrade to Drupal 10 even more pleasant and clear.
The Result
At the general meeting with stakeholders, IDM presented a digital annual report that not only met the basic requirements but also looked young and fresh. The flexibility of the CMS allowed for last-minute changes to be made seamlessly, ensuring IDM could always present a current and attractive annual report.
Thanks to the collaboration and effort of everyone involved, the IDM 2023 annual report shines in both content and presentation. It demonstrates the power of digital innovation and IDM's commitment to transparency and quality.
