(Last updated 15 November 2022)
Paddle is committed to making its website(s) www.paddle.be accessible following national legislation transposing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council. By using the Paddle CMS Platform, we ensure compliance with accessibility rules when building and maintaining the website.
Examples of how we aim to achieve this accessibility:
- Strive to be a clear contrast between different colours
- Take the WCAG guidelines into account when building the website
- When uploading images in the media library, it is always possible to add an ALT text, read out by reading software.
- Updates are made every four weeks, including accessibility bug fixes
- This accessibility statement applies to: www.paddle.be
Compliance status
This website partially complies with accessibility requirements because the modules or elements below do not meet the accessibility requirements stated in the governance decree.
Non-accessible elements
Non-compliance with the governance decree
Keyboard
Some keyboard elements, such as the cookie module on the website, are not yet fully accessible. We are working to make all elements on the website accessible. When the cookie module and pop-up are used together, keyboard accessibility is not optimal.
Colour contrast
Colour contrast may only be optimal in some places.
Focus order
The focus order of the "Need help" menu from the Citizen Profile header is incorrect. On the cookie module, the focus order can still be improved.
Web forms
Not all form fields may have the autocomplete attribute. We are working on adding this to every field.
Notifications
The notifications application does not meet accessibility standards.
Videos
Not all videos can contain a text alternative. We are working on adding this to every video.
ReCaptcha
The paddle.be/newsletter page uses Recaptcha version 2 instead of the regular version 3 because it is currently not supported by the vendor.
Content falls outside the scope of applicable legislation
Some of the pdf files are not yet accessible. We are currently working on phasing out the supply of inaccessible pdf files. We will replace these files with suitable pdf files (type A1A) or provide an alternative, such as a stand-alone text page.
