Moreover, this charming municipality approached us to build a new website. And that’s exactly what we did.
The request from the municipality of Liedekerke
The municipality of Liedekerke faced a challenging task: to achieve a digital transformation that would strengthen the community and enable modern communication. The request was clear: develop a new, attractive, and user-friendly website that not only served as an information channel for residents and visitors but also as an efficient platform for internal collaboration within the municipal organization.
Additionally, there was a desire to create space for two visually distinct subsites to cater to specific target groups and fully showcase the diversity of of Liedekerke. With these ambitious goals in mind, the team set out to develop a solution that not only met these requirements but also exceeded the municipality's expectations.
Our Solution
Analysis
Our solution for the Municipality of Liedekerke was a structured and thoughtful process that began with a thorough analysis of existing website data using Google Analytics 4. This analysis provided valuable insights into user behavior, which served as the basis for further optimization.
Design
Next, we worked closely with the team from the municipality to create a new, fresh design that seamlessly integrated for both the main website, and the intranet: ABAK (administrative back office), and UiT (events calendar).
Cardsortsession and information architecture
A crucial step in this process was the cardsortsession, where we refined the navigation structure together with stakeholders to maximize usability. After finalizing the navigation structure, we implemented it into the new website and intranet, while also ensuring the import of data from the UiTdatabase to keep the local events offering up-to-date.
Configuration of modules
We then configured various functionalities, including web forms and subsites, to meet the specific needs of the municipality of Liedekerke.
Training on the Paddle CMS platform and support
To ensure that the staff could comfortably work with the new system, we organized comprehensive training sessions. These included training on the Content Management System (CMS), web forms, and administrative tasks, tailored to different user groups.
Furthermore, we provided ongoing support for content entry, allowing the municipality to fully benefit from their new digital platform.
