The Fourth Digital Annual Report of UZ Ghent
UZ Ghent is like a second home to us. In 2021, this Ghent hospital approached us for their 2020 annual report. We also supported them in 2022 and 2023, presenting their yearly figures. This year, they reached out again to transparently and accessibly showcase the 2023 annual figures.
We spoke with Stefan from UZ Ghent to understand the added value of a digital annual report.
We are familiar with the Paddle CMS Platform. We’ve been using it since 2020. We didn't need much support in filling it out, but for the few questions we had, we received super quick help.

UZ Ghent aimed for transparent and open communication about their annual key figures and performance to inform all stakeholders.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, the communication department had different priorities. There was hardly any time or energy available for a traditional printed annual report, as the main focus was on providing optimal patient care, which has always been a priority. In contrast, a digital annual report offers much more flexibility and efficiency for sharing annual financial data.
Our Solution
This was not our first time creating an annual report for UZ Ghent. This digital annual report uses the same information architecture as the previous 2022 version, filled with recent developments and figures.
We encountered a minor setback when we couldn't make the cover with text fully responsive. However, Naomi and her team persevered and kept adjusting until it was perfectly displayed on all devices.

- Google Indexing: If desired, Google can index your annual figures. You can also prevent this by activating a no-index tag, ensuring Google does not index your content. In the Paddle CMS Platform, all pages are indexed by default for Google.
- Post-Publication Edits: You can still make changes even after publication. Found a typo? No problem, it's easy to correct.
- Easy Sharing: Share your annual report easily via social media.
